Use GF as a domain availability checker

  1. Hi all,

Has anyone created a domain availability checker using Gravity Forms before?

I'd love to know if anyone has, and how to go about this?

If not, is it something that someone could create, maybe a featured add on?

All help and advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. I don't have any experience with services that check domain availability, but looking at the Gravity Forms side of things, you would want to use the gform_validation hook to perform the check and provide the user with a feedback.

Out of curiosity, did anyone ever get this to work? Would be a nice feature if it were possible.

Take a look at this WHOIS API. You could probably harness it's power to build something.
