Use my developer license, or client should purchase his own?

  1. I have a developers license, and usually I develop sites start to finish for my clients. In this case, however, I have a client that is paying me to do some fixing up on a site he already built. Should I use my developer license for this, or does he need to purchase his own license?

    Thanks.

  2. This is entirely up to you. We have developers that require their customers purchase their own license and we have developers that allow clients to use their license key.

Just keep in mind the client won't have support site access, they will have to go through you for everything as only the license holder has support site access.

Also keep in mind if there comes a time when they are no longer your client, if they need support they would have to purchase their own license. So there are definitely advantages to having the client purchase their own.

  3. Thank you. I think I will use my developer license for the time being, and inform the client he will need to replace the license with his own when we are finished.

    Thanks.
