User Notification after redirect?

  1. Hi there,

I am using gravity forms on a charity website where im accepting donations.
The payment gateway is realex, so using a redirect and merge tags to pass the data to a page
which then redirects the user to realex to make their payment, and then redirects them back to the site with a thank you message.

I'd like to have a nice User Confirmation email, similar to how you would do this via paypal add-on, but only send the confirmation once payment has come through.

So I'd like the thank you page to trigger the user confirmation and not just submitting the form...

Is it possible to do this or is there some workaround that im not considering..?

    many thanks

  2. I don't think there is any way to do this in Gravity Forms. You could have logic in your page template, the one that the user is redirected to after their payment, that sends an email confirmation message. You would have to create the message yourself then call the function from your page template. It would not come from Gravity Forms.

  4. It won't be too difficult, but the functionality won't come from Gravity Forms. As soon as you've sent the visitor to Realex to complete the transaction, Gravity Forms is done with them.
