User Registration add on - User Meta extra fields not saving data

Hi, I am trying to add some extra fields to the wp users through User Meta / add custom, but once I press update the new fields disappear. Everything else is working great (users are being added, form validated, etc) and it has saved my life for a tight deadline, but I can't work this one out.

  2. To confirm, you are unable to add custom user meta to this section of the User Registration add-on: http://grab.by/9buT ? If so, make sure you are using the latest version of the add-on (1.0.beta5). If you are still having issues, send an admin login for your WP install to us via our contact form with ATTN: David and a link to this thread at the top of your comments.

Hi David, Thanks for your quick reply! That is right, that's the issue I'm having. I am running 1.0.beta 5. FYI, also have tried with Twentyten template. sending you login details.

David, just discovered the plugin "Ajax pagination (twitter style)" was causing a conflict with this. I disabled it and it is saving now! Your plugin is fantastic!

  5. @alicia Good to hear, you may want to contact the author of the AJAX Pagination plugin and ask them to please only enqueue scripts on admin pages that pertain to their plugin. What is happening is they are outputting scripts on every admin page which is causing the Javascript conflict.

@carl I will let him know. I have a strange issue with jquery-ajax conflicts right now. With Gravity forms, "Add this" drop-down does not work. If I turn "Ajax pagination" plugin on, drop-down works again and form on page works fine (User registration administration probably will not work in this configuration - but I don't need to edit form any more). Not sure how the three are conflicting/interacting.

  7. @alicia there is no conflict between Gravity Forms and the User Registration Add-On. What the AJAX Pagination plugin is most likely doing is outputting Javascript even when it is unnecessary. Plugins should only output Javascript when it is necessary, for example on their own admin option pages. Unfortunately a lot of plugin developers don't follow best practices and output Javascript on every single Admin page, regardless of need, and this is what causes plugin conflicts.
