User Registration - are deleted profiles really deleted in WP backend

  1. I was wondering if it is User Registration or WP that still keeps a login name after deleting a certain profile. After I delete the profile in the WP backend, I cannot register a user with the same login name (although I already deleted that profile). Is that WP or User Registration?

    Thanks

  2. Did you delete the form entry, or the actual user in WordPress?

  3. I deleted the user in Wordpress. I did not know that Registration User keeps those?

  4. If you check the entries for your registration form, I believe they are saved there.

I just tried it and deleted my WordPress user, then registered an account with the same email, and that worked fine. I then deleted that user, and registered an account with the same username, and that worked fine.

It does not look like the entries are preventing it, and when the user is deleted in WordPress, you can reuse the username and email.

There was a bug, I think, where you could have this type of problem. What version of the User Registration add-on are you using? Current is 1.2.9 and the problem I am recalling was a long time ago.

The site I tested on happened to be using WordPress 3.1.4, Gravity Forms 1.5.2.8 and the user registration 1.2.6.1.
