User Submission disappears and does not show up on admin dashboard

  1. Users on my website are trying to submit reviews with pictures and they encounter several problems:
    1) It takes forever to submit the review and frequently times out
    2) If the review actually submits and confirmation is received, then on of two things happens:
    a) the submission completely disappears and all information is lost or,
    b) the admin receives an email with all the submitted information but an empty draft shows up on the dashboard with no information except the picture.

I simply want users to be able to easily submit a review of a playground with pictures. Please help!

  2. Oh, the URL is: http://www.playacrossamerica.com/share-a-playground-2/

I have also tested to see if it was a theme conflict/error as well as a plugin conflict/error. Neither of these tests fixed the problem.

Thank you so much for whatever help you can provide!

  3. It could have to do with how large the files are that they are attempting to send you. Your host may have a max upload limit. Have you reached out to your web host to see if they have any error logs that might suggest this?

Also, for your post creation do you have a post body field with the content template option selected where you can drop form fields into the post body? There is a good walkthrough on that here: http://gravitywiz.com/use-gravity-forms-to-create-user-submitted-posts/

  4. Thank you so much for the information. I recreated the form using only Post fields and the problem still exists. When I try to insert the content template in the post body field, it does not even give the option for "featured image" which is a critical component of the review.

I had a website development company create a page for submitting reviews and photos and it works well, except for the fact that users have to register with Wordpress in order to submit the review and photos. There was no lag time in the submission and the submissions went through just fine. Most photos were 1MB or 2MB and loaded without a problem, but I cannot upload any photos with Gravity forms. I've tried uploading files, too, under "Advanced field", "file upload", but it still doesn't work.
