Using Gravity Forms to create custom post type metadata

  1. Is there a way to create Gravity Forms that can be displayed in the post editor area of a custom post type so site admin/editor/authors can fill out forms that would add the custom field and taxonomy data to their custom post and that could then be displayed in their blog? I'm using a multi site environment with about a 100 themes... not sure if that would mean needing to change each theme individually to display the custom post metadata. Thanks.

  2. A form couldn't be embedded in the post editor itself. But it would be possible to create your own custom plugin that uses the Gravity Forms function call to display a form in the admin, it would just have to be on it's own page because it can't be integrated into an existing form which the post editor is. So it's possible to use Gravity Forms on the back end, but it doesn't do it out of the box... it would take some custom development.
