Vanilla install + GF = error. On edit post/page no media buttons

  1. I installed 3.0.4 + 1.4.5 and tried 1.5 RC3 today.

A problem in GF results in the default WP media buttons to disappear ( upload image, upload video etc.. ) above the normal editor. ( new/edit page/post ).
In addition, the GF insert form button is also not showing.

I enabled WP DEBUG in wp-config and this is what came up:

gravityforms.php on line 364 Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0!

Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead. in /home/snip/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3321

I deactivated GF and the media buttons were back again.

  2. Something else is going on. If this was being caused because of a bug in GF then everyone would be experiencing this issue as big as it is, and you are the only user that is reporting it and we are unable to replicate it. Something else is going on with your site.

  3. I wasn't able to create this. I did a couple of fresh test installations and didn't have any problems with missing icons or problems with the editor functionality.

  4. Its a localhost vanilla install at my pc, so I am afraid I cannot give you a live login ;)
This also happens in the quick post widget at the wp-admin dashboard.

I can try to do a copy *.* to a my webserver and see what happens.

  5. Please do, nobody else is experiencing this issue and we are unable to replicate it on a clean install so it's impossible for is to debug the issue without being able to recreate it or have access to a site that is experiencing it. Keep us posted.
