Want to add the name to email when replying to submitted form

I am a newbie. Want to send an email to the administrator who will then reply to that email.
In the reply to: I want Your Name <yourname@email.com>
According to http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/name-and-email-sent-as-notification it is possible in the From Name field.

I have the From name set as Name (advanced name field) but the reply to in the email only has the email address of person submitting the form but not their name.

Please can you show me exactly how to set this up.

  2. The Reply To doesn't support the Name. Only the From Email supports a Name. Reply To is only an email address. Only an email address is passed to the sendmail function for the Reply To functionality, it doesn't include a Name.

OK please could you show me how do I get the -'From Email'- to show the name before the email address? What do I put in the 'Notification to Administrator' --'From Email' field?

  4. You configure them in your Notification settings for that form.

For the Admin Notification you configure the From Name to either be predefined or use the value of a Name field on your form. See this screenshot: http://grab.by/a7fW

For the User Notification the From Name and From Email are predefined and not dynamic, so you just set the From Name by typing in the name. See this screenshot: http://grab.by/a7fZ

The From Name is dependent upon your web server allowing you to set this dynamically. If you populate these values and the From Name isn't used, that is probably why.

I think I haven't explained this properly. I don't want to use the 'User notification' only the 'Admin notification' because I do not want to auto reply to the sender. I want to look at incoming email & decide whether or not to reply. If I want to reply I hit the reply button in the email (outlook express) and that is where I want the "name +email" to show

This works fine with webforms in Drupal but I cant get it to work with gravity forms in wordpress.

  6. You need to configure the From Name and the From Email on the Admin Notification then. See this screenshot: http://grab.by/a7fW

You wouldn't use the Reply To field in the Admin Notification. If there is no Reply To then the Send From is used. So what you want to use is the From Email and the From Name. Don't populate the Reply To field.
