Where to look for conflict when it's not your theme or a plugin?

Apparently my theme and/or plugin is calling a really old version of jquery that support is telling me is messing up my Gravity Forms.

But after removing all plugins BUT Gravity Forms and re-activating the 2010, 2011, and 2012 themes - the issue still persists. When you hit "Go/Submit" it loads another page within the page. Any idea where to look or how to track the issue down?

    Thanks!

The issue is that there is very little troubleshooting that we can do to stop the old version of JQuery from loading. Something is happening to make this happen. Are you using the latest WordPress version? Do you have a caching plugin enabled? There must be something, somewhere calling the older JQuery.

I am using the latest version of Wordpress and no, I'm not using a caching plugin... There isn't a hack or something that I could include in my header to force the proper version?

So with that theme, I don't see the wrong version of JQuery, but I do see a RAW tag that shouldn't be there...

What is your embed form code look like? That example is with no other plugins and the default theme?

Removed it. Still does it. The RAW tag is for my theme. It strips styling.

No other plugin is enabled. Updated version of Gravity Forms.

    [gravityform id="3" name="Get Started" title="false" description="false" ajax="true"]

So I take it this means that it's not the jquery doing this?

The JQuery in your theme might be part of the problem, but something else is causing the issue when there is no plugins/theme activated. Can I have you create a new form, something with just two inputs, and embed it on a page without the ajax=true call?

Still not working. It's supposed to show a message when required fields aren't populated.

I really need you to keep it this way if we are going to find the source of the problem. Can you e-mail me admin login details to peralty@rocketgenius.com so I can log in and see if I can find anything that sticks out?

  17. To avoid duplication of effort, I will close this topic and focus on your priority support ticket. You need to find the source of the old jQuery library and remove that, then ensure the correct version of jQuery is loaded, 1.8.3.
