Adding surcharge

  1. I'm trying to include the PayPal surcharge within my form. I have found a topic that works (http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/add-surcharge-to-the-total-on-form), but I get a 404 Not Found on the link. I can't see the code that I need to add to functions.php.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  4. I'm struggling here. Your first post was a bit over my head and the second version gives me an error message after adding the code to functions.php. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

    Thanks for you help.

  5. Did you follow the instructions on the post with the pastie? Did you change the form ID and are you sure you properly placed the PHP into the functions file? What was the error you received? Also can you post a link to your form.

  6. Here is a link to the form: http://cshboosterclubevents.org/

I copied the code form the pastie and added it to the bottom of my theme's funtions.php file. An error message appeared saying 'Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/content/87/9273187/html/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 595'

  7. Well, what might be easier for you is - next week we are releasing GF v1.6.4 which will have calculation ability that should solve for this. Would that be an option for you? Once it's out we can assist you in setting that up and working it out. Going forward that should be an easier option for you, however, worst case we can get this function working too.

  8. That's an option, but I really need this set up by tomorrow...Big weekend kickoff.

To understand that pastie better...I copied from <?php to }. I changed the form ID to the ID of my form. What am I missing?

As always, thanks for your quick response and help!

  9. If you want, I can go ahead and send you a copy of 1.6.4. Just send me an email to rob@rocketgenius.com

  10. I uploaded 1.6.4 and was able to add a surcharge to the form. However, the surcharge doesn't get added to my total in PayPal (however it does in the form). The total in the form is $103 and the total in PayPal is $100. Any suggestions on how to get these to match?

    Thanks.
