    Is there a basic framework available for creating a simple Gravity Forms Addon?

    I want to call a couple of extra functions when a particular field is filled in; I can code it up as a wordpress plugin with the gravity forms hooks/filters; but if there's a template of sorts out there that would be really handy.

    There isn't currently. It isn't something we've had the time or opportunity to create, but with over 50 third party add-ons, people have been figuring out their own ways to do it. We hope to release a best practices documentation guide at some point in the near future.
