Building a League Manager with Gravity Forms, Possible?

  1. Hi,

We use extensively GF in some of our WP to collect some data from our visitors, of course GF works like a charm.
Now we are building a new site for a golf club and we will need to create a League manager to manage tournaments, add golf courses (that we will add to the competition calendar) collect member golf cards results,...
Our first idea was to create a plugin but then I wonder if this could be created using GF.
Is it Possible to create these kind of "applications" with Gravity Forms? Is an absurd Idea??

    Thanks!

If it requires data collection, Gravity Forms might be a helpful solution. So collecting member card results might be perfect, but you might have to do some customization to display, rank, or otherwise use the data you collect. You could create Golf Courses, and have it create WordPress posts with that information, but you might need to customize your theme to display any custom fields beyond post title, post body, and category.

So depending on what you need, and how far you want to take things, it could either be a smart idea to use Gravity Forms, or too lengthy a process of customization to be worth it. Only you will know after you assess the features and requirements of your project.
