Character count notification showing several times

    Hi I am having this issue with all my forms:
    All forms with limited input text are showing their character counter three times under field description. Someone suggested it might be a plugin conflict, well I already deactivated all plugins on my site but still does the same. I don't think my theme is the problem since I already had my forms working perfectly using the very same theme. Any ideas?

    Brian, the last post on this was a year ago. Strange that you would comment on a post like this versus making your own.

    As for your issue. Can you link to a page on your site with the problem? Are you using the latest versions of WordPress and Gravity Forms? Can you try changing themes to see if it is a theme related issue?

    Figured rather than duplicating a forum post , just bump one already covering the question.

    I have the form in an inline modal window using fancybox. You can see the form by clicking on "Add your note" at the bottom right of the content under the quotes. http://sweetodins.com/beta/

    - I'm using the latest version of WP and Gforms

    Update - It seems to only be happening if you open the form in a modal window. It doesn't happen if I add a character limit to the contact us page form. Seems to be several others in this forum that have seen this happen...

    Our solution is usually to try a different AJAX modal window solution, since that seems to be the source of the issue you are experiencing. I am not exactly sure why though, but it is causing the http://sweetodins.com/beta/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/js/jquery.textareaCounter.plugin.js?ver=1.7.6 to show the counter multiple times.
