Is there a CSS Ready class that wil put the submit button inline?
I've read through: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/CSS_Ready_Classes
and form.css but it looks like there isn't.
Writing the CSS to customize the form myself isn't a problem, just seems bizarre there isn't an ready class or example in the docs.
gf_inline should do what you want and is listed on the CSS Ready Classes page.
But how do you apply .gf_inline to the submit button?
Because the submit button is not part of the form body, you have to position it differently. Please see this: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/custom-form-options#post-134077
With a link to your form, we can help you with more specific CSS, but that is the general procedure.
