Custom Post Type - Results not being published to post

  1. Today I purchased GravityForms and used the Custom Post Types AddOn. I created the forms that I wanted and the drop downs, check boxes and others in them. I then placed the form on one of my pages and everything went fine. I then looked at the post it created and it didn't list any of the results from the checkboxes and other things. However, it did list what was typed in the body.

The link to the form is: http://www.vaperdb.com/submit-news/
It submits the post to this category: http://vaperdb.com/category/news/

    Help would be very appreciated.

  2. This is just a guess, but it sounds like on your Post Body field, you just need to check the "Create Content Template" option when editing that field. Doing that will allow you to use Merge Tags to place content in the post body from the other fields and you can also format it in the way you'd like. See more info here on Post Body:

  3. Thanks for the reply. I tried doing the following on the post body, then inserting the tags and still no results. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or missing. After reading about this plugin, I thought it would be a bit more simple, which would make more sense to just be able to "Insert into post".

Edit: I've got it working. You were correct, placing the tags worked fine. I appreciate the help. :)

  4. One more thing and I'm sorry to bother....
When placing the file upload field inside the post body using the merge tag, I have it set to only allow image files. When I create the post using the form, it only posts the url of the image and I'm looking for the image to actually display. Am I doing something wrong on this as well?

Edit: I finally get the concept. thanks for all the help.
