Date Field | Valid Date | No Value

  1. Hi -
I have a simple date field in one of my forms - and I'd like the field to accept either a date value from the data picker or NO date. As it is - the field won't accept a null value when I attempt to send the form. Is there a way to set the field to accept no value?

I added a date field to my form, and if I don't select anything, then it submits fine. Are you trying to make the date field be a required field? If so, then that's why it requires a date.

  3. That's the way I thought it would work -

No - the field is not required...

Form Result without selecting a date:

  4. On the other hand - I think I just discovered something... if the two required fields are completed - then the form submits without issue (without a date). It looks like when the validation checks the values - it validates on the date field whether the field is required or not.

In this case - I don't want the user thinking they MUST provide a date for the field if they hit the validation message. Make sense? Any work around?

That might be a bug and as such, I'm going to pass this thread on to one of our developers to take a look at.

Do you have any custom validation on your form? If not we would need WordPress Admin access and FTP access to be able to troubleshoot further. If you do have custom validation or really any custom function on this form, can you paste it into a response so we can look through it?
