I'm probably missing something easy here, but why can't you default the advanced name field to the display name or user's full name like you can the email?

I've added the advanced name field and set it to simple, but it doesn't give me the same default options like the advanced email field does.
We'll look into this and see why it is not there. The Name field is a bit complex, as it supports different formats which is probably why it is not there like it is on simpler fields. We will have to take a look and see what needs to be changed to add it. Until then you can pre-populate the name field using dynamic population with hooks if it's something you have to do in the mean time.
