Disable akismet

  1. Creating a new topic since I couldn't respond here.... I'm still not clear on whether there is a difference between "disable_akismet" and "__return_false" (from here). Do both or either of those functions exists and disable akismet, or are those just examples and I have to provide my own function that returns false?

  2. The gform_akismet_enabled hook is a new hook and isn't available in the current public release. It's in the current development build which we will be releasing most likely next week (v1.6.3) so you would need to have one of the development builds to use this hook now.

I believe the example in the documentation for that filter is all you need. That example, as is, should globally turn off Akismet integration.

We will also be adding an option to turn on/off Akismet integration as a global setting in the Settings page of Gravity Forms. It might possibly be included in Gravity Forms v1.6.3 next week and if not it will be in Gravity Forms v1.6.4.
