Donation and Recurring Payments from Same Form

I've been playing with the Beta 2 release, I was hoping to have an option for users to donate either 1-time, or recurring, from the same form. Is there a way to do this using the current setup?

If not, my original thought was to create 2 PayPal Feeds based on a single Gravity Form, then use the conditions to direct to one or the other through a radio field in the form. Is that feasible?

  2. No, it is not possible to do a donation and recurring payment from the same form. PayPal doesn't support doing multiple transactions such as this from the PayPal Standard Interface. So this is a limitation of the PayPal API itself.

Currently you can't create 2 PayPal feeds based on a single form to prevent users from making a mistake. BUT with the conditional logic it may make sense to allow this so that you could do different transaction types based on form selections. I'm going to look into changing this functionality so that it is possible to have 2 PayPal feeds for a single form and only direct to the one if a certain condition is met.

  3. I'm interested in this too-- I need to make a form that has the option for 1) Pay in Installments or 2) One-Time Payment in Full. Is the best way to do this right now to simply have 2 forms on the same page?

If I have 2 forms on the same page, then I assume I'll need to repeat all the address/name fields as well, so that they get submitted to the paypal feed along with the payment choice, right?

How do other people handle this dilemma?

  4. it would be great if you could add two feeds to one form if the form has logic that ensures that only one gets selected. understandably this might be a bit complex.

Aw, a +1 here as well. Didn't plan properly and just realized this was an issue. Looks like I'll need to make a clever work-around.
