Drag and Drop

    Dear Gravity Forms,

Your plugin is absolutely amazing. Everyday i find more ways to use it.

The only thing that does not work for me (or has Never worked) is drag and drop. When i build a form and i hover over the form fields it does not show the arrows nor can i drag the element into my form. All i can do is click it and it appears all the way down at the bottom. This has actually never worked on any site i build. I just tried again with a complete fresh install of wordpress but without succes.

Is this a bug or isn't this supposed to work?

I would be very happy if you could fix this!

    Tnx in advance!

  2. I have no problems dragging and dropping on my dev site.

Two things for you to try:

1 - Enable no conflict mode on the gravity forms settings page and see if that helps.
2 - If it does not, you'll want to run through a theme/plugin conflict test: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I already tried no conflict mode on: no succes.
I disabled all plugins: same. even on a fresh install it doesnt work.
If i go to the gravity forms demo(http://www.gravityforms.com/demo/) it even doesnt work.
I use the default twenty twelve theme but that does not.

Like i said it has never worked in the last 2! years
Tried in firefox and chrome aswell but all without succes.

    whats going wrong??

btw: and i dont mean putting the elements in the right order, that does work. I mean when i add a new field from the field options on the right of the screen.

  4. Ah, sorry - mis-read that. That is not a feature, clicking is how you add a field and it does go to the bottom which at that point you place it appropriately via drag and drop.

    Hi Rob,
    Thanks for your reply.

That's a shame. Everytime i add a new field to a very long form i have to scroll all the way down and then drag it all the way up which doesn't contribute to an efficient workflow.

Could this please be implemented in a future release. That would make your plugin perfect!

    Thanks again

You can use the Home, End, Page Up and Page Down buttons on your keyboard while adding fields to quickly move around the page. If you have a long form and add a field but want to move it to the top, as you start dragging it upwards hit the 'Home' button to jump to the top of the page and release your field.

    Regards,
    Richard
