email note option doesn't seem to be working

  1. At the bottom of each entry there's the option to write a note, and you can also choose to email that note if an email address has been supplied. I've tested this and haven't received an email at the other end. Is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks,

  2. Are email notifications working?

You may want to try testing with another email address. I just tested on my end and received the note email just fine so it's going to be something on your end.

Be sure to check your spam filter to make sure it didn't get flagged as spam and try another email address.

  3. The regular email notification DOES work, however when I try to use the one to simply send a copy of a note at the end of the entry, no email gets sent. I've tried with three different email addresses, checked the junk folders on all and waited several hours to see if they would show up. They haven't.

  4. Okay...I tried a fourth email address and that one worked (?!). No idea why that one works and the others don't, but that leads me to a second question.

The "from" address is still set to "you@yourdomain.com". Where is this changed? It's set properly under all my wordpress settings and I can't find the section under the forms area.

Thanks. And by the way...the support here is pretty decent. Much appreciated.

  5. When you email an entry note, the from address that is used is the email address tied to the WordPress user account you are logged in as. It isn't a Gravity Forms setting.

Check to see what the email address for the WordPress login you are using. Thats what is being used in the From address when sending notes.

  6. Ahhhh...I knew it had to be something simple that I was missing. I'd only checked the blog settings, not the user settings. I'll keep trying a few more emails and hope that it works now.

    Thanks for your timely responses.
