Embeded Forms Not Showing Up

  1. Hello,

I'm trying to embed a form into a page. I have had 0 luck getting any form to show up on any page. I have deactivated all plugins and set to the default theme yet nothing shows up. I've tried embedding the form both with shortcode in the wysiwyg editor and longcode in the html editor. Nothing shows up.

    Thanks

  2. Correction: I had installed the Starkers theme as the default. I installed the Twenty Eleven theme and it's working now. My custom theme is based off of Starkers. Any ideas what could be causing these forms to not show up?

    Thanks

  3. Please post a link to your site.

If it works with the default Twenty Eleven theme, you have a conflict with the theme. Most likely a conflict with JavaScript conflicting with the JavaScript Gravity Forms needs.

Does your form have conditional logic? If so, the form will be hidden and relies on JavaScript to display it. Any problem with the JavaScript will prevent the form from being shown.

To test this, you could create a form with no conditional logic and see if that displays when using Starkers. If it does, you have shown that the problem is a JavaScript conflict.

A link to your site will help as well. Are there any simple forms on the site that are working right now?

  4. Thanks Chris,

It looks like it's a JS error. Sorry about not attaching a link I'm building this site locally on a MAMP server. As soon as I export and install it on a live server I can send a link. I'll let you know if I get the JS conflict fixed. The only thing I can figure is that I'm using JQuery for a few things such as NivoSlider and a twitter plugin.

    Thanks for your help.

  5. Update: I replaced my header code with the Twenty Eleven code and the conditional form works. It doesn't seem to be any issue with JQuery. I think I can take it from here.
