form builder not working at all

  1. Hi there,
I'm trying to build a simple contact form, but when I try to add any fields along the right side of the screen nothing happens. I'm not sure what is going wrong. I have a developer license and this is the 3rd site I am using this plugin on. The past two times everything was fine, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Thanks!

crufenacht - Sounds like a plugin/theme conflict. Please follow the troubleshooting steps here - http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

fspcyo - You might want to try the same steps, though it might be a server API error you are experiencing. Your issue isn't the same though and your own thread should have been created so we could assist you better.

  4. Thanks David,

I tried those trouble shooting tips before posting but they didn't seem to help. I'm using a studiopress theme and Gravity Forms came highly recommended by studiopress so I assumed the two would work well together.

When I click on the fields along the right side the button looks like it 'clicks' but nothing happens. I can click on the Form Settings and Entries, but nothing on Form Editor page works.

This is the url if that helps. This is a test server on my site that I have set up while I build the site. http://cararufenacht.com/mary/

You are using the latest WordPress and Gravity Forms releases, correct? Can you go into Forms -> Settings and enable No Conflict and see if that helps?

  6. Yes, I'm using the latest version and I have No Conflict mode on. Still nothing. :(

Have you tried it with the default WordPress theme just to make sure it isn't a theme conflict?

  8. Yep, I tried it with the default Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven themes...

What are the server resources like, have you checked if there is enough php/wordpress memory?

  10. I just tried deleting the whole gravity forms folder from my plugins directory and then re-uploaded it and it seems to be work now. I have no idea why, but that seemed to work. Thanks for all your help!
