Form Fails to Submit - alleged errors are NOT highlighted, as claimed

  1. I have been getting the following over and over:

There was a problem with your submission.
    Errors have been highlighted below

In no case have any errors been highlighted, nor have I been able to find any myself. But the form won't go through.

  2. Have you set any fields to "admin only" status. If so, check to make sure they're not set as required. Something like that would throw a validation error, but wouldn't be visible on the front end.

You can reference this recent post for some additional info

If that's not it, you can send us a login to your admin via the contact form and we'll be happy to take a look at it.

  3. As Kevin mentioned, it looks like you probably have a field on your form that is set as required and the visibility is set to admin only. Admin Only fields should never be set as required.

  4. Could you guys make that more explicit, or prevent it from happening, or put up a warning when you try to do it when editing or creating a form? It makes sense when you think about it, but it's not something you think about at the time you're doing it.

  5. Yes, we are already discussing this internally for the next release. It was a scenario that didn't come up in testing so it's one of those gotcha situations. But we are going to enhance this in the next release to prevent this situation from happening.
