How do I get the "From" field in the email that is sent from the Contact Form to the desired destination email address to contain the person's First & Last Name plus their email address in the standard format like:
    "Firstname Lastname" <myemail@gmail.com>

The following page is where this form is:

  2. This functionality is only available in the 1.5 beta test release. It is new functionality that was added in Gravity Forms v1.5 and was not available in previous releases (including the current public release). If you want to install the 1.5 beta it is available on the Downloads page.

  3. Hi Carl,

I'm glad to hear you have a way to adjust the "from" name in 1.5 beta. How adjustable is it?

Will you have a way to assign the "TO" name as well. David S. did some work for me a few months ago to make our Goldmine Forms work. They needed a special code in the To: address to decode them.

It would be great if it's built in.

    thanks

    HG

  4. 1.5 only implemented the name capabilities with the Send From name, not the Send To. So emails you receive will say an actual name for who it's from. But the to is still simply an email address.

    Carl,
That worked like a charm!!! It sure makes the emails look better. I am sending an email to the website's email account as well as the person using the Contact Form. Being able to configure each one separately is really appreciated. It is amazing of all the little details that one needs to consider to ensure that the email communication with the person via the Contact Form flows correctly, especially when you take into account additional email replies between both parties.
