Google keyword recorded in Gravity Forms

  1. I would like to record the Google search keyword (keyword that has been used to reach my page) to be recorded in GravityForms alongside with the lead. In this way I can assess which keywords generate good leads.

    Is this possible somehow?

  2. Joost de Valk has written an add-on for Gravity Forms that includes the Google keyword tracking information in the notification emails. You can download it here:

Hello, I installed the plugin (also tried the directory add-on plugin) but continue to see the following errors....as you can see the REFFERER is blank and REFFERER 1 shows 'type in.' Also, I tried the same test by going DIRECTLY to the page with the form (thinking maybe it lost the data in internal navigation). But no dice. Same result. Any advice?

    Thanks! -Ry

  4. You'd have to contact the authors of those add-ons, that isn't code we created so it's not code we are familiar with.

  5. Hi Carl,
Thank for advice. I just installed the add-on. Works fine, can see referrer info on Emails.

Is there any way to have this information stored in the forms databases for modeling analysis later on?

    Thanks.

  6. You would have to write your own customization. We do plan on rolling this functionality directly into Gravity Forms in a future release. We plan on adding it to the Entry Details page for the Entry that is created so you can see this information so it's more than just displaying it in the notifications so we have to incorporate saving this data with the Entry. I'll see if it's something that we can fit into the 1.5.3 release or not. When we do it, we want to make sure it's done right and looks good.

  7. Thanks Carl. Releasing it into Gravity Forms 1.5.3 will be dream come true! :)

  10. This has not been added to Gravity Forms. What does not work with Joost's plugin?

  12. That used to work. I am unsure why it no longer does. Joost's plugin was mentioned here:
    http://yoast.com/wordpress/enhanced-wordpress-contact-form/

In that text, he explains "I’ve made an “addon-plugin” for Gravity Forms that adds the unique functionality this plugin provides (showing referrer and keyword usage data) to Gravity Forms." If that stopped working, you might want to contact Joost and see if he is still supporting this add-on.

  13. Chris and Carl,

If I can find 5-10 people willing to pay for this immediate integration of Referrer info for Gravity Forms, will you do it for us and post a new download? How much do we need to raise to get you to prioritize this functionality?

That is not really how we work here, but if you can do that, then you should hire a developer and work with them on meeting your groups needs and having an add-on developed.

Third party add-ons are great and we here at rocketgenius love when the community finds resources to develop them and add new features for the community.
