Gravity Form is Slowing the page it is loaded on down dramatically.

  1. Hi,
I have a form embedded here
    http://lowwoodsfurnishings.co.uk/product/como-aubergine-by-voyage-copy
it loads incredibly slowly, and i get a pop up that says page has become unresponsive quite often.

Here is a page without the plugin which loads much faster.

I have taken a look using firefox and it looks like it's the jquery script that is becoming unresponsive, now what's causing this is difficult to say for sure but there are couple of probable contributing factors such as your theme is loading one version of the jquery.prettyphoto script while the woocommerce plugin is loading another version of it, things often go wrong when the same script is loaded multiple times. Another contributing factor is the shear number of scripts and stylesheets that are being loaded, you may want to look into using a caching plugin to help speed things up a bit.

However as you seem to be using a number of plugins the first place to start with figuring this out is by testing for a plugin/theme conflict by following the advice here http://rkt.gs/testing

  3. Hi, I have done the steps requested in the link, and the problem still occurs when the only plugin activated is the gravity forms plug in. I can't leave it like this for long, but you can look if you're around soon.

I activated the default theme and the problem still occured.

Your help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dawn

Can you try the following please? http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit/ Seems like it might be a memory issue. It is also worth contacting your host about the issue as it might be something they'll need to look into for you.
