Gravity Forms not activated, yet still running?

  1. I was recently doing some site changes and had some 38 inactive plugins I was just keeping around incase I wanted to use them at some later point. Well I decided I was going to do some spring cleaning and deleted them all.

Come to find an error on my screen saying something with gravity forms, looked for gravity forms in the active plugins and couldn't find it! (Guessing it was somehow deactivated yet still running when I did the sweep on inactive plugins)

So I was freaked out for a second thinking I lost all my hard work on those forms and entries, I reuploaded the plugin, went to activate it, and got this error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare gravity_form() (previously declared in /home/dqgaming/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/gravityforms.php:922) in /home/dqgaming/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/gravityforms.php on line 924

So then I look on my admin sidebar to see that the "Forms" tab is still there!

At the moment all gravity forms functions are working yet wordpress still thinks the plugin is not activated. Not a huge deal just want to get it fixed incase I have any problems in the future.

    Thanks!

  2. Do you have the Gravity Forms Directory Add-On or any other Gravity Forms Add-Ons NOT created by us that are active? I'm guessing you do.

I've seen strange behavior with the Gravity Forms Directory Add-On. If it's active, but Gravity Forms is inactive then it calls code in Gravity Forms that effectively makes it active despite the fact it's not. This is a problem with the 3rd party Add-On, not Gravity Forms.

  3. Yes I do have that plugin active to easily display data from the database.

I do understand this is a 3rd party problem, yet is it easily fixed or how would I go about fixing it?

Thanks for your quick reply Carl.

  4. The Directory Add-On isn't a standalone plugin, it's an add-on to Gravity Forms which means if you are using it then you should have Gravity Forms active also. If Gravity Forms is deactivated then deactivate the Gravity Forms Directory Add-On als
