Gravity Forms not updating

    Hi,

We have GF 1.5.2.8 on our site, but WP is reporting that GF is up to date. Our server has strict Firewall rules, but even relaxing them to ensure WP and the GF site can talk to each other, still no luck updating.

All our forms have disappeared in recent days/weeks following some rebranding work involving a change of domain - this may be a separate issue. Do you recommend exploring the disappeared forms (with the Oops! We could not locate your form. error)? Or should we investigate the updating - could this cause the forms to disappear?

All appears well in the GF settings.

    Thanks
    Andy

You could manually update, but I'd try and figure out where your forms went. Are they there when you switch to a new theme? Perhaps your theme is using too much memory, and you need to increase your memory limit?

    Hi Kyle,

Our server guy worked out that there was an issue with a move to a different domain. He told me:

"The serialized data held in the database field that represents a form, by changing btcv to tcv it altered the length of this data, shortened 4 fields by 1 characters each, but the metal information stored with the serialized data still believes the fields to be the original length hence it sees it as serialized data but when it tries to unserialize it, it fails."

Fixing that restored the forms and now the automatic update has reappeared! So all is well again.

    Thanks
    Andy
