How to make form entries display as posts with images.

  1. Hello,

We are using Gravity forms for a submission form entries for a school. This includes info about the perspective student and a number of image uploads.

The entries then are reviewed by a number of professors. I am looking for a nice way to show the information and images uploaded. Would it be possible to display then into a post with the images embedded?

    Dave,

In the Post Body field, in its settings, you'll see something for the Post Template, and you can add merge tags and html to that. This will allow you to push other field values into the Post Body. You can wrap the Image upload merge tag with HTML to show the image in the post body.

When creating a form, you'll have a section of fields over to the right called Post Fields. Inside that box, once expanded, you'll see a Body field. That'll be the Post Body field that I mentioned.

Thank you for the speedy reply - esp on a holiday. This did not work for what I wanted. I am using the AK:Featured Post Sidbar Widget which allows you to display posts by category on specific pages. The Date and the Title of the post are being displayed, but not the content collected from the form (the entry?), even though I've modified the plugin code to display the_content(); I want to display adoption applications by the state of the applicant (as designated by the category).

I would need more information to help. Have you added the Post Body field to your form? Are you using a Content Template with Merge tags to grab values and place it into your WordPress post? I don't know anything about the AK:Featured Post Sidbar Widget, so I can't comment on that. But Gravity Forms should be able to create a WordPress post for you in whatever category you select inside our Form builder.
