I am using a theme that has a photogrid on the home page. I want to use my GF to not only upload submitted images to a post but to also override the existing thumbnail on the home page to the submitted thumbnail.

I already have the form working to submit as a post but my home page doesn't get updated with the thumb.

this is the theme I am using

  2. I don't know how you have your homepage configured. The homepage of WordPress isn't a post, and Gravity Forms doesn't edit posts, it only creates them. So i'm not sure how you are trying to accomplish this with Gravity Forms.

Does this theme use the WordPress post thumbnail functionality or something else? Last I saw the Press75 themes used their own post thumbnail functionality, not the built in WordPress thumbnail/feature image functionality.

Currently Gravity Forms doesn't set the post thumbnail image when creating a post. It's possible to do, but you have to write additional code to do so. Try searching the forums for post thumbnail and you should find sample code. It's a customization, it's not something that is done out of the box.
