Insert form fields into BCC

  1. Hello, I'm developing a form for a customer who bought your product... CommunityNewspapers.com and the idea we have is under "Notification to User" there is a BCC field....

Is it possible to insert a form field into that BCC field? The concept we want to implement is allow people to forward a contest to their friends and that they get that e-mail automatically.

We've already tried entering like this:
    {Friend #1 - Email:1}, {Friend #2 - Email:2}, etc

    But that did not work.

Would appreciate your feedback as this would be a great feature to take advantage of.

    Sincerely,
    Edilberto Morillo

  2. This functionality was added to the 1.5 Beta 3 release, however there is currently a bug with it. We are looking into the bug and will release an update to the 1.5 Beta that fixes the issue in the near future. So it's not currently possible to do this with the 1.4 release of Gravity Forms but will be possible with the 1.5 release.

  3. Hey Carl,

Thanks for the insight.(i'm the on who submit the question) I have to tell you that I totally love gravity forms' flexibility! It made my life so much easier because we have to create new forms all the time.

  6. @milljeff2010 That example is only sending the email to 1 friend, not multiple friends and doesn't involve using form field variables in the BCC field.

I posted above that v1.5 Beta 3 has been updated and is available on the Downloads page. It allows you to use form field variables in the BCC field to send to multiple friends.
