IPN has been disabled -- please help!

About a week ago (around the same time I upgraded to the latest version of Gravity Forms), I started getting these messages from PayPal that IPN would be disabled if I didn't fix this issue. I'm not sure how to fix the issue, as I didn't make any changes to my website or the configuration.

    Can anyone help?

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are not being received:

    http://www.yogakatie.com/?page=gf_paypal_ipn

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.

Once you or your service provider fix this problem, you or your service provider can resend the failed messages from the IPN History page. If this problem continues, PayPal may disable the IPN feature for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

    Thanks,
    PayPal

  2. It could be in the communication between PayPal and your server, or maybe your server blocks requests from the PayPal IP address block, maybe the server responds slowly sometimes or maybe there is something in their request that is being filtered out by your server. The page you posted the URL to responds correctly with a 200 status code, so PayPal should receive that as well if they can access that page.

I would check with your host to see if they have any logs indicating when PayPal is trying to access your site, or if they have any filtering or rules set up which would prevent this communication from PayPal. It does not have anything to do with Gravity Forms. It's simply that PayPal can't communicate properly with your site to send the IPN.

Thanks, Chris. I will look into it.

It seems odd that it just started happening with the upgrade to GF, since it had never been an issue before, but I will look into it with my hosting company.

  4. It is odd that it coincides with the upgrade. I can't think of anything in the upgrade which would cause this. Can you confirm your WordPress version, Gravity Forms version and the version of the PayPal add-on?
