Localhost email confirmation/user notification

  1. I am developing a site using wamp/localhost. I've created a form and tested it, but do not receive a notification or confirmation email. I'm assuming because I am on localhost? Thanks, I'm a newbie to Gravityforms. Do you all have any video tutorials out there?

    Hi,

You are correct, because you are developing locally your wamp setup more than likely won't be configured to send email so for you to be able to test the form notifications I would recommend you install a wordpress smtp plugin. If you check out the following post by Rob he recommends a smtp plugin and some troubleshooting tips http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/having-trouble-with-alerts-i-am-not-notified-of-filled-out-forms#post-44294

I am not sure if there are any official video tutorials but if you head over to youtube then search for gravity forms you should certainly be able to find some. You should check out the 'Documentation' section of this site which contains a lot of information about using gravity forms, such as the css ready classes etc.

There are some wamp plugins that easily address this. Just google "wamp email setup" or something. Obviously dont want like usr/bin/sendmail, you want a windows based location.
