multi-page form and anchors in internet explorer

  1. Hi. I have a multi-page form midway down the page. When you click the next button, it goes to the top of the page when viewing in internet explorer (rather than to the progress bar on the form). It works fine in Safari. Is there something I need to add? It's in IE 8, by the way. Thanks.

Well, you might have found a bug that no one else has reported. :) Programmers are looking at it now, and it should be fixed in the next version if it is a Gravity Forms issue.

For now, can you change your doctype to see if that sorts out the issue?

    Try <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> and see if that solves the issue. If you are able to get away from using the HTML 5 doctype without any other issues.

  3. Thanks, David. I will check on this with the web designer as I am out of my league here! If you come up with an easier fix for a novice, let me know. Thanks for your prompt reply!
