PayPal in an Iframe

  1. Hi

I have read the forum with regards to paypal in an iframe and understand that paypal will not open in the iframe. How do i go about that Paypal open in a new window to take payment.

the form works fine in preview or when accessed direct.

Is there also a way then that when payment is taken the from is processed.

    Thanks

    Mark

Sorry, but I don't have any JavaScript skills, and as such, I can't help you custom code a solution that would work. Can you tell me more about what you are trying to accomplish and why? Maybe we could build a link that people click on that opens a new window (not a modal window/pop-up). Let me know what you think.

  4. Thanks,

My form is run outside of wordpress and is emdedded as an iframe within a jquery mobile web app, i appreciate that this is not the normal way of using GF, and it has been a challenge, but we have nearly finished.

The issue is when the user decides to pay with paypal, as the form is embedded within a page, paypal will not open within that Iframe, thats ok, but what we would like to do is for paypal to open in a new window or tab. We can even live with the form still being submitted withot confirmation from paypal. We would need a warning to the admin email "PAYPAL VERIFICATION REQUIRED, THIS IS NOT PROOF OF PAYMENT"

"Maybe we could build a link that people click on that opens a new window (not a modal window/pop-up). Let me know what you think" This is what iam looking for, but just point me in the right direction would be great

    Thanks

  5. Following up on the topic. We're embedding the form in an iframe and would like to use Paypal payments via the standard Paypal plugin (not pro).

Paypal does not work in an iframe (obviously), and when we override the form to have the target of the parent, Gravity Forms comes back with an error.

    Any ideas?

  6. @Twist, can you post a link to this form online, or show us how you accomplished what you have done so far? What errors are you seeing?

  7. Chris, thanks for the response! Turns out that ajax form submit was the culprit in our case. Overriding the form target to be _top worked perfectly after ajax was disabled on the form.
