Paypal Standard vs. Pro

Can someone explain to me the difference from Standard vs. Pro for the Paypal add-on?

I'm thinking the difference is standard version, the customer will end up on Paypal.com and on Pro version the customer does not leave the site.

Not sure if this is accurate.
