Populate fields with previous contact data? Like shipping/billing addresses

  1. My client's form has two sections for contact info - the first section will be typed in.

For the second section we'd like to have a checkbox that says 'Check this box if the billing info is the same as shipping info' or something similar. If the box is checked, the second set of contact info fields should be identical to the first.

I'm not a programmer - if this can be done, can someone explain it to me keeping that in mind? This is all part of the same form.

  2. Hi redkite,

The way I've seen many Gravity Forms users accomplish this is by having the second set of fields set up on conditional logic so they only show if the user checks the box to enter a different set of info.

  3. That makes sense and is much easier - I'll make sure this works for my client too.

  4. The client likes this.

So I would set up a checkbox for it, then for each field I want to hide show I'd add conditional logic that says 'if checkbox is checked, show this?' or something like?
