Post category field as multiple choice (radio buttons)?

    Hello!

Is it possible to display the post category field as multiple choice instead of a drop down? And how can I change in which order the categories get listed?

I guess this is possible with http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Gform_field_content but the example on that site is too complicated for me to understand.

    Thanks!

  2. Currently the Post Category is only supported as a drop down there isn't a multiple choice option. It's a feature we do plan on adding in the future but there have been features that were a higher priority which is why it hasn't been added yet.

It is possible to implement as a customization, but you'd have to use a checkbox field and then know how to write the custom code to set the post category when the form is submitted.

Thanks for the quick reply. Follow up question: Is it possible to change the order of the items in the dropdown list? I saw in an older post that it's not possible. Did you add that feature in the meantime?

    Thanks!

  4. Currently the items are displays alphabetically. It's not possible to re-order them because the drop down is populated dynamically with the category items when the form is displayed.

Is it possible to show all sub-categories that belong to a parent, by just choosing that parent? I'm looking to set up a category "location" with sub-categories --> Europe --> UK --> London and many other countries, continents, cities. Ideally I just want to choose "location" in the form editor as a category and GF will then automatically include all the other sub-categories. Ideally then the subcategories are indented for better viewing!
