Re-Captcha not working with Headspace2 Plugin

    Hello.
Big Problem for me :/ : I use the Headspace2 Plugin for years now (http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/headspace2/)

When this plugin is activated and i put a form on a page WITH re-captcha activated, after i filled out everything correctly i get an error message: "There was a problem with your submission.Errors have been highlighted below" and the re-captcha field is higlighted. BUT the message was sendet anyway.

When previewing a form the error don't occure. Just when i put it on the frontend of the page.

  2. Hey Thomas, we will look into this and see if there is anything we can change on our end to make it play nicely with the Headspace2 plugin.

We can't control what another plugin does, so if the problem isn't fixable by changing something on our end you will need to contact the Headspace2 developer.

if there is nothing you can do on this issue ...maybe it is possible to include an alternatice to the re-captcha thing? for example the well know "question answer" thing ... etc ? that would be great ! :)

    greetings,

  5. Hello Thomas, I have run some quick tests using Headspace2 on a test site and was able to get the reCAPTCHA working just fine. If it is a Headspace2 conflict it is due to a specific configuration. As you know, Headspace2 is highly configurable and has very long list of features and capabilities.

Can you possibly run some tests on your end with your setup turning off and on Headspace2 features to determine which feature is the issue? We haven't been able to replicate it on our end so it's specific to what features you are using.

My guess is it is probably related to the Site Modules you have enabled as these typically involve javascript.

Let me know if you can turn these off, test, and then turn them on one by one (similar to debugging plugin conflicts by turning off and on plugins).

And yes, we plan on adding alternative captcha in the future.

  8. Thomas,

I just filled out the form you posted a link to and it submitted just fine. I didn't receive an error. The captcha worked as intended for me and I received the confirmation message.

I tried it both filling out the captcha (submitted fine) and without filling the captcha which triggered the validation error message as intended.

I'm using Safari on a Mac but didn't have any issues on your site... you will see a few entries I submitted using test@test.com as the email address when I filled out the form.

    Hey Carl,

now i am really confused. Thx for testing. and yes i got the 3 mails from you. ...

*some minutes later* ---- AHA ... you know when the error appears ? When i am logged in as an admin and then test it !
omg ... didn't thought about testing that first. ok when you are not logged into the site everything works fine ... strange

but again : THX for testing !

  10. Okay, thanks for the added information. We will do some testing on our end logged in as admin and see if we can replicate it. Thanks!

  11. I just tested it on my test site, logged in as admin and browsing the site and reCaptcha worked fine with Headspace2 installed. There is something else going on with your site causing the issue.

If you give me a login for your site that I can use to login and then browser your site I may be able to replicate it and determine the issue.
