Removing edit form after publishing

  1. Maybe I have missed a step, but after configuring a contact form then publishing on a page -edit form- displays at the foot of the from... have I missed a step?

Sorry no URL as from is left open as a result of this so I have to remove until I figure out what I am doing wrong

  2. The "edit form" link appears only to logged in users with permissions to edit the page (like you, since you're still logged in.)

Use a different browser and don't log in and you will not see that "edit form" link. It's similar to how WordPress themes sometimes display an [edit] link on a page or post when you are logged in. Non-logged in visitors and those without permission to edit (nearly everyone but you) won't see that [edit] link either.

Or, create the form, insert it into a page, publish the page, then log out of the WordPress admin, then visit the page. There will not be a link to "edit form".
