tab index on fields are acting wierd

  1. I have a couple of opt-in forms on the page http://byzblog.com They are hooked in with Mail Chimp.

When using "Tab" to move between fields, the cursor jumps to the opt-in in the footer. (I have the same form in the sidebar and in the footer)

    Any easy answers to this?

Are they using Widgets? You can set the tabindex start value on each of them if they are.

  3. Yes, it's all in widgets, I forget where the tabindex value is. I'll look for it.

  4. Almost there... Inside pages work fine, but on the front page, the "Schedule a Talk" form is using a shortcode, when using tab, the first two fields work fine, then jumps to the footer.

Start the tab index in your footer widget to be like 25 and that should hopefully solve it for you.
