template tags for when a user has successfully registers

    are there any template tags that determine if a sucessful registration has just occurred or not? I know I could patch into gform_user_registered and set my own global then test it later in the theme, but that just seems so ... awful.

    for a page template for example, or the buddypress reg page in /registration/register.php.
    it could be handy to encourage people to upload an avatar or edit their profile right after a successful registration.
