Text in Description Field Not Saving

  1. If I attempt to cut and paste text from a text editor or a web page into the description field, the text doesn't save. The field will only accept the text if it is typed in. I tested this with latest versions of Google Chrome and Firefox - same thing - I also tested in my sandbox - Ten Twenty theme, no activated plugins - same problem. Is this "normal"?

  2. The problem is most likely what you are copy-n-pasting contains hidden HTML characters and script that you don't see when you paste it into the field. This can then cause it not to get saved because of the hidden data being copy-n-pasted. This can happen on Windows. There isn't much we can do about this, it's an operating system/browser issue. We can look into it but we would need to know more details such as:

    - Operating system and version (Windows Vista? Windows 8?)
    - Example of text you are copy-n-pasting from

Try copy-n-pasting from Notepad also. Paste content into Notepad and then Copy it from Notepad and Paste it into the textarea. Unfortunately when copy-n-pasting from content that contains HTML (such as a web page or even a Microsoft Office document) it may contain hidden markup that causes problems.
