The plugin does not have a valid header.

  1. Hi Guys,

I just bought the Plug in, I installed it successfully. But when I tried to activate the plugin I saw this massage :

The plugin does not have a valid header.

so I wasn't able to activate it. I use the last version of WordPress.
I went to my server, I deleted the plugin on the server. I re-installed it again. no difference the same message :

The plugin does not have a valid header.

    what should I do now?

  2. It sounds like something went wrong during the install, or however you uploaded the plugin files. This can happen when installing via FTP, etc. an extra space gets added.

Uninstall Gravity Forms and delete it completely from your web server. Then try re-installing.

    - Login to your dashboard
    - Go to Add New under the Plugins Menu (Plugins > Add New)
    - Select Upload
    - Upload the 1.5 zip file
    - Install and activate

  3. Hi Carl,

    Thanks for your reply..
Actually at the first place I did the same.In fact before seeing your comment I deleted Grvity form completely from my web server. I did re-install it through :

    - Login to your dashboard
    - Go to Add New under the Plugins Menu (Plugins > Add New)
    - Select Upload
    - Upload the 1.5 zip file
    - Install and activate

But, I did this process one more time after seeing your comment .It didn't work. I see the same message :

The plugin does not have a valid header.

I use Version 3.1 of WordPress.

    Welcome to your comment.

    Thanks
    Bob

  4. Can you post the complete error message that you receive when trying to activate 1.5? There should be more information included with the error message.

  5. I am having the same problem. The exact error message is "The plugin does not have a valid header." That's all that appears on the page.
