Upgrade to 1.5.1 download failed

    I'm not able to upgrade to 1.5.1. The message returned is Download failed. Forbidden.

    Retry, it should work. Your WordPress may have had a problem trying to download the file. It happens from time to time.

    I'm having the same problem. I double checked the permissions on the server and everything seems to be in order. I can install and upgrade other plugins, just not Gravity Forms.

    Found the problem or rather a problem. I was trying to do the update in the Network admin rather than from the site admin in a multi-site install. When I did it from one of the sites where I use Gravity Forms, it installed without a hitch.

    I am having this problem on a single site install. I have tried several times in Safari and Firefox.

    @barefeetstudios Browser isn't going to matter, the issue is your site has cached the download link and it has since expired. You need to wait a few hours, possibly until tomorrow, until the cache has expired and refreshed and then try again. Also try going to the Updates page under Forms (Forms > Updates) and try updating from there.

    @Carl - Thank you. I cleared the Safari cache; it did not help. I then used the link under Forms > Update and it worked!

    Good to hear. It wasn't a browser cache issue, it's a WordPress cache issue. WordPress cached the download link and then it expired. The Forms > Updates page doesn't use cache.
