User Registration Add-On

  1. Hi Guys,

I am working on a site which has a membership component. I plan to use a combination of Gravity Forms for the user registration combined with your Mailchimp add on to subscribe to the various lists etc... So far all is great, I have Wordpress, Gravity Forms and Mailchimp all playing together nicely. The question I have relates to the display of the custom fields I have setup for the user registration, ie. address, phone number, organistation, position etc. Are you planning to integrate the fields from the (gravity forms) user registration into the WordPress profile area? ie. at the moment when a new registered user logs into their profile, only the standand WordPress fields are viewable??? Does that make sense?

Cheers and great work so far...

  2. Hi Paul,

We do plan on adding integration to display the custom user data in the profile area; however, currently this is not available.

Is there a development timeline in mind for adding the integration to the WP profile area? And would users be able to update custom fields from that area?

This sounds like a perfect solution for a project I'm working on, but I'm nearing deadline and need to decide if I should go with this option or come up with something else.

    Thanks!

  5. There is no timetable for any additional features for the User Registration Add-On. It's still in 1.0 development, so until we complete it as a final product and review the project at that point there won't be any timetables. We aren't 100% sure how we are going to handle displaying data in the WordPress profile area just yet as that takes things further away from what Gravity Forms typically does. We'd like to figure out a good way to do it, but we want to be careful not to stray too far from what Gravity Forms is intended to do.
