Hi - can anyone advise if possible the best solution when using gravity forms for users to upload images that will be displayed in a gallery attatched to the post created by the form.

My form is here http://festivalnet.co.uk/upload-a-listing/ i would like an image gallery displayed within the post that is created by the form - im guessing nextgen gallery would be capable.....but if anyone can shed any pointers on how to integrate this with gforms I would be grateful

Or any other ideas of dispalying a user uploaded gallery in the post

    Cheers

  2. The easiest way to display a gallery with a post is to use the [gallery] shortcode in your post body. SInce your user won't know to add this themselves you can use the Content Template functionality of the Post Body to automatically add it.

    - Edit your form
    - Edit the Post Body field you added to your form
    - Check the "Create Content Template" checkbox under the Properties tab
    - Select the Post Body field from the "Insert form field" drop down
    - Then add the [gallery] shortcode to the content template
    - Save your form

    See this screenshot:

What the content template does is this is what is used to create the post body if you have it activated. Whatever you put in here will be saved as the post body content.

  3. Firstly would like to say this is a sensational plugin - congrats to you.

I am trialling it on one site but will definitely move to the developers license.

Regarding NEXTGEN GALLERY, I have followed your instructions as outlined above but no luck.

I would like to permit the Member to add a Post and also to upload images via the NEXTGEN GALLERY through your GravityForm

Thanking you in advance and look forward to your directives

  4. This isn't currently possible as it doesn't currently have direct NEXTGEN GALLERY integration. In order to integrate with NEXTGEN you would have to write custom code to handle the integration. I'm not familiar enough with NEXTGEN to be able to say what steps would be necessary to do so.

  5. Ok Carl, thanks for your honest reply. Could you suggest which image gallery plugin would work and how to integrate if possible please?

  6. WordPress has built in gallery functionality using the [gallery] shortcode. The [gallery] shortcode will display a gallery of all the post images associated with that post. You can use the [gallery] shortcode in the content template for the post body field in Gravity Forms. However, your theme has to support styling the gallery that is output by this shortcode. Most do.
