i just wondered if you have in your plans to allow the use of the forms in the comments form? for example one really nice function could be to designate a form created using GF as the default comment form which then has the capability to upload images.

Yes, we have discussed it. We have ideas for enabling comment integration as well as user integration. But with everything we do we put a lot of planning into it and make sure we get the UI right and that it is easy to use before we implement it. So I don't have a timetable as to when this would be possible... but it is something that we want to do eventually.
